Thankfully, park staff intervened to assist save the newborn squirrels, otherwise their future would have been unknown. They had difficulties, though, because the squirrels were small and needed medical attention. The staff acknowledged their need for maternal affection as well.
Then, an amazing thing took place! The ideal solution to their predicament appeared to be a stray cat who had recently given birth to kittens. She would gladly have taken in four more pet puppies.
Taking care of them as though they were her own, Pusha accepted them into her litter. The squirrels were first afraid, but their new family quickly made them feel at ease.
The park personnel ensured that everyone received the necessary attention, such as additional food and veterinary appointments.
The proprietors of Pusha also made a donation, guaranteeing that no infant goes hungry. In order to help, they even give the newborns goat milk by hand because Pusha is unable to provide enough for everyone.
