Buggy, a 15-year-old cat, was brought to a vet clinic by his family because they were no longer interested in him. The cat was friendly with the caregivers and in good health considering his age.

Upon discovering his predicament, the veterinary team declined to give up on him. In order to give him the opportunity to have a happy life, they volunteered to save him. Buggy immediately won over everyone at the clinic with her self-assurance.

“He followed the front desk receptionists everywhere he went while he was there,” said Celine of Chatons Orphelins Montreal.

That day, Buggy turned into a star, greeting patients and their families and giving comforting hugs and purrs to the staff. He made everyone smile by acting like the ideal assistant and strolling around with his tail up.

He was not at all bothered by other creatures. Buggy was quite charming and merely desired attention. He was content to be picked up and held by everyone.”

Despite his small limitation in his hind legs, Buggy is in good physical condition. “X-rays revealed no problems at all. His back legs occasionally slip, and he simply walks like a tiny grandfather.”

Buggy settled in right away after being taken home to foster by a volunteer from the rescue.

Occasionally, Buggy picks up a piece of kibble with his paw and puts it in his mouth like a classy dog. “He is so gentle and always makes little meows to get us to pay attention to him.”
