Dedicated animal rescuer Alex Sirbu decided to look into a cardboard box he found at the edge of a woodland.
His heart shattered when he went to open the box. There was a litter of little puppies within.
Mission of Rescue
Alex was genuinely astounded by what he saw. He could not comprehend why someone would so heedlessly leave these infants in the middle of nowhere rather than taking them to a shelter where they would be given the care they needed.
They were just a few hours old, Alex quickly discovered, and several of them still had their umbilical cords attached.
Alex didn’t have the heart to part from the puppies, even though he already had a few creatures under his care that he had saved.
Alex continued by describing the challenges of raising newborn puppies. These puppies require a mama dog who is willing to accept them, or else they need to be fed five or six times a day with a specific kind of milk in order for them to live.
Alex fortunately had just that.
He intended to place the new litter with the three newborn pups and their mother, who he was already caring for, in the hopes that the mother dog would take them in as her own.
An Actual Miracle
After gingerly putting the infants together, Alex contacted their mother. Now all he had to do was bide his time and see what would come of it.
When Alex checked on the litter three days later, he was astounded by what he found.
The mother dog and another female dog that was also without offspring made the decision to divide the litter between them.
The extreme sympathy between the two dogs affected Alex, giving her hope that the litter would survive.
Regretfully, only four puppies survived after five weeks. But this truth didn’t deter Alex in the slightest.
He continued to be strong for these adorable puppies, ensuring their growth and development. Additionally, he made sure to express his pride in their adoptive mother’s caring disposition.
Last Remark
Every dog in this small family will, I’m sure, grow up to be such gorgeous creatures and find a loving home where they will receive all the care they require and deserve.
We are grateful to every single person who has ever taken the time and trouble to assist an animal in need, no matter how small. You guys really are heroes!
And don’t forget to offer your dogs a chance at happiness by taking them to your neighborhood shelter or rescue if you are unable to care for them for any reason. They are deserving of it.
